Naval Fleet Region Readiness Center Applies for LEED Gold

PSF was hired as the mechanical contractor for the FRRC which completed work in March 2010.  The team was lead by Dana Hannan, Project Executive, and Andrea Hovey, LEED® AP, Project Manager.

The FRRC is a 22,000 square foot training center comprised of several multi-media classrooms and simulators at Naval Station Everett, WA.
Application has been made for LEED Gold certification for New Construction with the submission of 42 credits. Upon certification, the FRRC will be the Navy’s fourth LEED Gold-certified building. For details on the energy-saving strategies employed by PSF, see page 2 of the PSF Quarterly, Spring 2010. Also click here to read "Going Green at Naval Station Everett" in The Military Engineer May-June 2010.

PSF has achieved a Washington State EMR of .6000 placing PSF in the top 5% of participating companies in SMACNA Western Washington and in the top 1% among more than 2000 Washington companies that report work hours in the mechanical trades.  This is the 2nd year in a row that PSF has achieved this .6000 rating – an accomplishment that comes from a greater focus on improving PSF’s safety program and putting more attention on getting employees back to work after an injury.
