PSF's Project Managers are team leaders that strive to have all projects completed at or above our customer's expectations. Our PM's develop customers for life by following two simple rules:
1) Never promise more then we can deliver
2) Always deliver what we promise.
PSF Mechanical, Inc.
Project Management coordinates with Sales, Engineering, and General Superintendent to identify and assign members of the PSF Project Team. Also plans, schedules and chairs a Kick-off Meeting with team members to review project scope, work plans, schedules, and assigned responsibilities of each team member.

Prepares and maintains documents such as (but not limited to) Material Requisition Logs (MRL), Impact Logs, billings, project files, Proposal Requests, project correspondence, and supervises the preparation of Operation and Maintenance Manuals and Balancing Logs (written and electronic).

Acts as liaison between Engineering and Production, and as a focal point for dissemination of information to ensure that all parties receive the necessary information and documentation to perform assigned roles.

Maintains ongoing communication with the General Contractor and other trades on the job to assure effective coordination of work, consistent interpretation of job specifications, and a clear understanding of responsibilities among related trades. Also represents the Company at job meetings (as requested by the customer), and maintains clear communication with the customer throughout the duration of the Project.

Issues Requests for Information (RFI) in order to clarify and confirm specific project requirements, and distributes responses to Project Team members and PSF subcontractors.

Provides Controller with "Schedule of Values" (SOV) at the beginning of each project as a basis for progress billings, monitors and assesses Project progress by job phase, submits progress billings to Accounts Receivable for invoicing per contract requirements, and consults with the Sales Manager before processing billings that are "out of the ordinary".

Coordinates jobsite visits and inspections with other members of the Project Team to ensure that jobsite visits are scheduled for all critical stages, visits jobsites personally, debriefs Team members and processes and distributes Jobsite Observation Reports to all Project Team Members (within two days of returning).

Reviews, screens, and distributes project-specific correspondence to PSF Project Team, General Contractor, Subcontractors, Design Team (as appropriate), and the Owner (as appropriate).

Monitors project activities and conducts periodic meetings with the PSF Project Team to review progress, coordinate efforts, anticipate problems, and take corrective action to resolve conflicts. Also prepares periodic project-specific cost management reports, as directed, that demonstrate Project performance relative to schedule and cost.

Reviews engineering drawings, shop drawings, and jobsite conditions to assure compliance with specifications, Company standards, code requirements, and contractual obligations.

Upon project completion, works with Project Management Administrative Assistant in the preparation and transmission of contract closeout documents. Also schedules training of Owner's personnel.

Conducts a final meeting (Project Critique) with PSF Project Team members to critically review Project performance, analyze problem areas, determine need for corrective action, and identify ways to prevent reoccurrences on future projects. Prepares notes from the Project Critique and distributes them to department heads for further discretionary distribution to PSF employees as an educational tool.

Works with suppliers and PSF Purchasing Dept. in obtaining equipment, material, and subcontractor bids, and related product information. Works with Assistant Project Managers and Project Management Administrative Assistant to develop and deliver complete and accurate equipment submittals, Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Start and Test Reports, Balancing Reports, Commissioning Plans and Project Fact Sheets.

Works with PSF Production Dept, and PSF Purchasing Dept. in procuring equipment and material for assigned projects. Researches permit requirements, and works with the PM Administrative Assistant to obtain permits for assigned projects requiring mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration permits in a timely manner.
Develops, schedules, and executes project-specific Commissioning Plans.
